Favorite Autumn Activity's

I can't say enough how much I love Autumn. Everything about it is so relaxing and peaceful. I love to spend most of my time with family and friend outside. I like those chilly sunny autumn days. Every year we do something special that become kind of our tradition.

Mushroom picking

When the first Autumn rain stops falling and sun start to shine we all know what's going to happen. Mushrooms starts to grow. I'm so lucky to live near the forest so I can go picking whenever I want. Of course it important to know which  species are edible and which are not. My sister, mum and dad absolutely love to do it. I enjoy walking in the forest anyway but it's so much more fun when you are searching for something. My siblings and I turn it into a game. Who pick the most is the winner.

Carving pumpkin

I know that this activity is frequently connected to Halloween but in my family we don't celebrate Halloween. We crave pumpkins as a sign that Autumn is finally here and that winter and Holidays will be here soon too. It's so much fun to do it. Especially with family and friends. They always turn out different that we expected them to be. But I think that most of the fun is in seeing the finishing work.

Eating chestnut and corn

Friends and family gathered by the fire. Talking and waiting for chestnuts and corn to be done. I must say that I like corn more. But as always company is most important. We always have so much fun. All wrapped in blankets or large sweaters.

Blackberry picking

This is my absolute favorite activity in the Autumn. I just grab my little bucket and head to the forest. We usually pick blackberry's for juice, jam or just for eating. I must confess that I eat almost everything I picked before I got home. haha Although sometimes I go home with scratched arms it doesn't matter when I can eat as much of blackberry's as I want...at least until mom don't catch me.

What do you like to do in Autumn?
