Fairy Baking #2 // Apple and Walnut Cake

Sunday, November 3, 2013

Hello everyone!
Hope you are well.
On Thursday I did the first cake in my life. I did it for my dad's birthday which was on Friday ! It was "Apple and Walnut Cake." It's a real autumn cake. It is similar to one dessert that I used to do before. If you follow the instructions it will turn out well. Although I'm not totally satisfied with it, but for the first time is great. ;) But my family liked it and they want me to do it again.

So let's start.

Ingredients:

For the biscuit:
3 peeled, grated apples
2 eggs

2 decilitres of milk
20 decagrams of sugar
20 decagrams melted walnuts
20 decagrams semolina
3 tablespoons flour
1 deciliter oil
2 tablespoons rum
1 package baking powder

For the cream:

25 decagrams of margarine
10 decagrams of powdered sugar
1 tablespoon rum
5 tablespoon of plain flour
5 decilitres of milk
10 decagrams of walnuts

Chocolate topping:
10 decagrams chocolate
4 tablespoons water
2 tablespoons sugar

Preparation

Biscuit:

  • Grated apples cook on low heat for about 5 minutes. Stir constantly until all the juice has evaporated. Put them aside to cool.
  • In a bowl, whip the eggs and sugar into a foamy mixture. Gradually add milk, semolina, walnuts, flour and oil. With wooden spoon, mix apples, rum and finally baking powder.
  • The round shape of the cake, grease and sprinkle with flour. In it pour the mixture for biscuit.Put it in one, easy, preheated the oven to 100 degrees.
  • This biscuit must be gently dried. The first 20 minutes bake at 100 degrees and the other 25-30 minutes at 170 degrees.
  • Baked biscuit, put the appropriate surface and let it cool

Cream:
  • Softened but not melted, margarine and sugar whip in homogenous mass.
  • Flour dilute in a little cold milk. Put remaining milk to the stove until it boils.
  • Reduce the temperature of the stove and gradually, stirring constantly, add the flour mixture.
  • Cook until the mixture thickens. Put it aside to cool.
  • When cooled fold in the mixture of soft margarine and sugar.
  • Add 1 tablespoon of rum.
  • At the end with a wooden spoon mix the ground walnuts.

Creating:

  • When the biscuit has cooled carefully cut crosswise into 3 parts. In my cookbook is written in two parts, so they put the cream on top of the cake, and I do not like that. If you think it will be easier so feel free to share it in 2 parts, although the cake, when I was cut, it fell apart.
  • The first choir Apply cream. Fold it with the other part of biscuit.
  • The second part of biscuit Apply with cream and fold the third part of the biscuitI spilled the entire cake with chocolate

I hope you like it, and that you will try it! If you try, send me your pictures and thoughts! :)

What is your favorite cake for these autumn days??

♥ ;)
