7 Ways To Have Fun While Staying At Home




Are you over being at home most of the time? 

I'm sure that you are probably bored with staying at home especially if you are working from home as well. Things can easily get monotone when life gets too repetitive. The good thing is that staying at home doesn't need to be that boring. There are so many fun things you can do only if you think a little bit more about it. With the global pandemic messing with our plans, we need to get a little bit creative. Here are some simple but fun things to do at home, alone or with your family. 

#1 LISTEN TO PODCASTS 

Podcasts are not only fun but also educational. If you are staying at home by yourself then podcasts can make you a company. There are so many different podcasts you can listen to while working from home or while doing house chores. Whatever you are doing podcasts are nice to have in the background. I know that sometimes it can be hard to find the right podcast for you but the good thing is that there are so many of them you can check out and then decide which one you want to keep listening to.

#2 FACETIME WITH FRIENDS & FAMILY 

Catching up with family and friends might be the highlight of staying at home. Especially with the current situation, it is nice to see the faces of the people we love, even if it's through the screen. Although it may start as quick catchup it quickly turns into a 2-hour call you needed. So if you have free time grab your phone and call the first person that comes to your mind. 

#3 PAMPER YOURSELF 

Now is probably the best time to have that pamper time you probably neglected before. To pamper yourself you don't need to take a bubbly bath or put on a face mask, you can, but that isn't all that it means to pamper yourself. Pampering is different for everybody. Just making yourself a hot cup of coffee or tea and grabbing a good book is also one way to pamper yourself. 



#4 PUT YOUR MIND ON PAPER

Writing down your thoughts might not seem like a fun thing to do, but it can be. Sometimes we are so in our heads that it gets a little bit overwhelming and confusing. With the situation going on in the world it is not too strange that we feel the way we feel. If you are not into journaling then just grabbing a piece of paper and a pen or writing it on your laptop can help you a lot. You will feel so much better afterward. 

#5 DANCE TO THE RHYTHM  

It's is time for a home party for one. Don't you sometimes just miss freely dancing with your friends? Well, that doesn't mean that you can't have your own party at home. Put your favorite dance playlist and dance to the rhythm. You can even organize a zoom/skype party with your friends. Grab some drinks and put the same playlist on and dance together. 

#6 LEARN A NEW SKILL ONLINE 

It is never too late to start learning a new skill. I'm sure that there is something you always had an interest in but never made enough time for it. YouTube is a great free source to learn new things. From calligraphy, speed reading, basic language, painting, cooking, and more. Why not take this time and master another thing that will only benefit you. 

#7 MOVIE MARATHON 

Harry Potter, Lord Of The Rings, Hobbits, Avengers, etc. There are so many movie series you can now finally binge-watch at once. Snuggling in your bed with homemade popcorns sounds like a perfect idea to me. This way you can enjoy it without any distraction and in the comfort of your own home. If you prefer watching movies with someone but you are living alone then do it with a friend. Start the movie at the same time and chat through it.
