Here's What To Do When You Don’t Know What To Do

Thursday, July 18, 2019

We all have those off days when we don’t know what we should or want to do with ourselves. We don’t feel like doing anything extra but also don’t want to spend our whole day doing absolutely nothing. All of our friends are busy and we watched all episodes of our favorite TV shows.

Well there are still some things you can do to have fun but also benefit from them. Although at first they might seem too time and energy consuming, they are really not once you put some fun into them. So if today is one of those kinds of days don’t worry and just pick one or all of the things mentioned in this post.

DRIVE/WALK SOMEWHERE
When we don’t know what to do and that boredom creeps in we tend to choose just to stay at home and lay in the bed for the whole day. As excepting and relaxing staying at home can sometimes be, opting for going outside may be a better choice. Going outside is not only beneficial for your physical health but also for your mental and emotional. If you know how to drive and have a car then going for a short drive might be something you’ll enjoy. Put your favorite music on and turn your car into a  music video or concert hall.

To make it more active heading for a walk is the best way to go. As the weather is warm and sunny it is even nicer to have a stroll through a park or a nearby forest. There are a lot of people jogging and riding bicycles so you can just join them. There are so many things to choose from which makes it much easier to decide to actually get moving. Although you may not feel like it at first, once you get up and leave your home you’ll not regret it.

DECLUTTER/ORGANIZE
I know I know you probably want to do something more fun but what is more fun than having a beautiful and organized life. ;) Put some music on and get started. Go from room to room and get rid of anything that doesn’t belong there. Don’t skip the dreadful drawers and closets that you ignored for a quite some time. Be brutal and get rid of everything that you don’t need or want. Make space for things that really matter to you and that serve you. Have a deep clean and make all the dust, bacteria and dirt go away.

Take all of the clothes from your closet and check if there is any piece that’s been laying around without you wearing it more than once. You'll probably realize how many clothes you actually own. I don’t know about you but my desktop can get even more  unorganized then my closet. If you can’t see your desktop background from all the photos and documents then it’s time to clean it up. Delete all of the photos or documents that you no longer need and put all of those that you do in folders.

MAKE A PHOTO ALBUM
A real one, not the one on your desktop or Facebook (does anyone do those anymore?). I’m sure that on almost every occasion you took photos so you can look back on them and remember the fond memories. I’m also sure you haven’t looked at them that often. Well you also probably ended up deleting a lot of them to clear the space for new ones. Why not go the old way and actually develop them and put in a physical album. Doing that you’ll have a fun time recalling those beautiful moments and you’ll be sure that they won’t get deleted.

To make it even more fun call your friends and set a album making party. You can all bring your own photos and albums and make them together. You are actually going to do something productive while still have a lovely time. If you want to get even more creative then you can make a scrapbook. Get all of the stickers and colorful sharpies and start. One day when you won’t know what to do you can go over those albums and not only remember those moments captured on the photos but also the moment of putting the album together.

What do you like to do when you're bored?
Have you ever made a photo album?
