5 Ways To Unwind

Friday, January 13, 2017

Taking a break to relax and unwind nowadays can be pretty hard. It's not wonder when everything is moving so fast and there are more and more obligations that can give you anxiety. It's so important to know when to take a step back and calm down. We all have different way of doing that but I wanted to share with you things I like to do when I just want to breath easy.

WALK
Taking a long and relaxing walk after a busy and hectic day is always on the top of my list. Spending time in the nature by yourself, with your pets or friends is something that will definitely make you calmer and happier. Every day I try my best to spend as much time as I can in the nature even if it means just walking from my dorm to college.
SOCIALIZE
Catching up with your best friend or talking with family is definitely something worth doing. I try my best to come home every weekend to spend some quality time with my family. Visiting my grandparents is something I really enjoy dong and talking with them really makes me happy.

CREATE
I'm by nature creative person and doing crafts really makes me relaxed. While I'm writing my blog post or decorating my room I don't think about all the sometimes stressful things that I need to do. I find that after letting my creativity out I can go back to the obligations with clear head and the right state of mind.

READ
Going to another world while staying at your home is one of the most amazing things you can do to unwind. If you are not a big fan of book reading there is so many options out there. You can find interesting articles online and in magazines although I would definitely recommend you to explore the blogging world because I'm sure you'll find incredible blogger which posts are definitely worth reading.

DANCE
Put on your favorite dance music and just go for it. I remember dancing like crazy in my bedroom almost every day when I was younger. I now do it once in while but I determine to do it more often as it's so much fun to do. Dance is so uplifting and really brings out the joy.

Remember that when you take a break and do the things that makes you happy and calm it doesn't mean that you are procrastinating but also don't think that obligations will go away. Find that perfect balance between working hard and relaxing.
