Motivational Monday Quote #47

Monday, March 2, 2015

What is beauty today? I saw an article last week about girls who starve themselves. They even put their photos on Instagram. As many like as they get they won't eat that many hours.  They compete to be thinnest. When I read that I was shocked. My first thought was why they do that to themselves. Anorexia and bulimia are such a big problems and I have a feeling that we don't talk about it as much as we should. I'm so sad that there are so many girls in the world who think that they need to starve themselves so that they can feel beautiful. That just isn't right.

It's something that media and magazines imposed on young girls. On the covers of magazines we see skinny girls with no wrinkles, cellulite, blemishes or any imperfections. It's natural to have all of these things. Reality is that it's majority of time all of these covers are photoshopped. Those models and celebrities don't actually look like that. Considering someone beautiful is fine, but comparing to them is not. We are all different but exactly that difference makes as all beautiful in our own way.
It may sound cheesy but it's true.

When you are teenager or a grown up woman others can be mean and tell you that you're fat or skin. I know that they told me that and they still are. In the past  I felt like I don't look good but then I realize that I like my curves and all imperfections because they are part of me. You just mustn't listen to them. They are saying that because they are insecure and because they have their own problems. Just don't take that to your heart as hard as it can be. It's important to appreciate, accept and love your body. You are beautiful on the outside but what's even more important is that YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL ON THE INSIDE.
Don't ever forget that.
