Happy New Year!

I guess it is that time of the year again. Time of the year that most people either look forward to or dread. In whatever group of people you sort yourself, I wish you all the best. Hopefully, 2019 wasn't too bad for you and that 2020 will be better.

History is the best teacher so I decided to take some time at the start of this year to reflect on the best moments of 2019 and set some guidelines for 2020. 2019 was quite an interesting year for me. There were some big and happy moments for which I am very grateful for but that is not all there is in life. Life is made from negative moments as well and although it can seem like they overflow the good that is not the truth.

Here are the 2 most significant moments of 2019.

2019

GOT  BACHELOR'S DEGREE
I've been studying philosophy and religious studies since 2016. It was honestly the best decision I could've made. Although there were struggles, I've learned so much not only about the theory but also about how to implement that knowledge into real life. This July I got a bachelor's degree in philosophy and religious studies which made all the hard work pay off. I'm still not quite aware that I now have a title as I am still in the university. I still have two years to become a Master of Philosophy. While I'm still a student I'm trying to make the most out of it.

VISITED NEW PLACES
Each year I try my best to travel to new places and by far travel vise, this year was the best. In February I went on a one day trip to Venice. As soon as we got there it took my breath away and I was so grateful that I had the opportunity to visit that magnificent place. In August my friends and I decided to go on a 4 day trip to Toscany. Italy is a country with so many charms and I am happy that I saw another one. I went to Bologna, Firenza, Pisa, Luca, Cinque Terre and more. The weather was gorgeous and I learned so many things. The cherry on the top was Hallstatt. To finish this year with a trip this month I visited the picturesque village of Hallstatt in Austria.

These are the two accomplishments that stand out the most. There were a lot of little ones that made  2019 very special for me. Now I want to focus on 2020. I am not going to set any big goals. Making a list of resolutions doesn't really work for me so I'll just set some guidelines and work around them.

2020

WORK ON SWEET PASSIONS
My plans for 2020 can't start without mentioning this little online space. I've been creating content online for almost 7 years, and although not all of those years were very successful I am still very proud that I didn't give up. I dived into the blogging world because I wanted a place in which I can let my creativity, thoughts, and passion out and share it with others. I already have some plans and direction I want to take Sweet Passions to and I really hope that you will join me on this journey.

MAKE POSITIVE HABITS

I believe that the habits that we implement in our lives can make such a big change in the quality of our lives. It is humanlike to have some bad habits but in 2020 I want to make as many good habits as I can. In 2019 that was something that I didn't pay much attention to and 2020 is the year I want to mak change. Mental health and self-love are two things that we all need to make more time too and I'll be sure to share my experience with all of you.

TRAVEL MORE OFTEN
Traveling will always be part of my plans. In 2019 I realized that you don't need to be rich or have a lot of free time to be able to visit new places and learn about new cultures. There are so many ways you can explore and visit different places on the budget. I am already planning some big trips for Summer 2020 and it makes me very excited. Before that, I will be definitely going on one-day trips with my friends.

I want to thank you for your support throughout 2019. I will try my best to make Sweet Passions a place where you can find inspiration, joy, and peace. I really hope that 2020 is going to be an amazing year for you guys!
