Valentine's Day 2023 Skincare Wishlist

Thursday, February 9, 2023

Our skin desires a healthy, natural radiance. Sometimes, especially when we least expected it, we have seen unexpected breakouts, quick flare-ups, and more. You are probably busy with all the pre-planning as Valentine's Day approaches, but let's not neglect our skincare regimen in order to have glowing skin on our date night. We need the proper products on our shelves in addition to the right advice. This time, I've got you covered with some skincare products that should be on your Valentine's Day wishlist.

PCA Skin Active Broad Spectrum SPF 45

The PCA Skin Active Broad Spectrum SPF 45 sunscreen is always on my wishlist. Pamper yourself and tuck one into your own Christmas stocking and then give it as a gift to family and friends.

Sunscreen is an essential self-care product and should be one of the first things you put on your face every day. PCA Skin Active Sunscreen SPF 45 contains zinc oxide and is sweat and water-resistant. It offers great coverage for your face (and body) and is also reef friendly. I’ve got my whole family, my husband included, hooked on this stuff.

The PCA Skin Sunscreen is perfect for days working in the garden, days racing around Disneyland, days when you are basking in the sun at the beach, or even days when you’re enjoying the warmth of your sunroom. Sunscreen is essential.

Medik8 Crystal Retinol 3 Serum

The top skincare product on my wishlist this Valentine's Day is Medik8 Crystal Retinal 3 Serum. This is quite a luxurious product that I don’t often treat myself to, so would love it to be gifted to me for Christmas. If you are considering retinol, then this is a good quality one. Most retinol is more of a slimy serum texture but Medik8 is a lovely creamy texture. It’s nice to apply and sinks in well. You wear it at night since it would provide no SPF protection (wear a good SPF by day). If you’re new to retinol, you need your skin to adjust so you start using it only once a week, then twice a week, then every other day. Eventually, you can wear it nightly if your skin takes well to it. I’ve seen improvement in the quality of my skin since using this and love that it’s not sticky and smells nice. This is part of my evening skincare routine I want to keep up so I will have to treat myself if no one else does!
