Beauty Tips That Helped Me & Could Help You Too

When it comes to beauty, great beauty tip here and there can make a big difference. If you search online you can find some amazing beauty tips that actually work. Of course, some may not be as effective as others. The thing about beauty tips is that you need to try them to see if they really work for you.

There aren't a lot of beauty tips that I've personally tried. However, I did realize that I've been using a few beauty tips for quite a long time now and decided that it would be best to share them with you. They are very simple and easy to do but also very effective. For some, you probably already heard and use yourself but for some, you maybe haven't get across yet.

TAP DON'T RUB

One of the skincare tips I've learned is the importance of not only the products we use but also of the importance of the way we apply those products. Although it may seem that rubbing the products may be more effective it actually isn't. Rubbing your skin may lead to damaging it and with that making the whole skincare process less effective. Our skin is very delight and we should treat it like that. Each ruff movement might not immediately look damaging, but in the long run, you will notice negative changes in your skin.

I was guilty of that until I watched a Joan Day's video and realized that tapping may be a way better option.  Tapping skincare products into your skin will help your skin to it absorb it much faster and you won't irritate your skin. Before tapping makes sure that your hands are clean so that you don't transfer bacteria to your face. After you wash your face you can also tap the excess water in replace to drying your face with a towel. If you tap the water into your face it will make your skin much more hydrated. Those who prefer using a towel, make sure that you use a clean one for your face.

HONEY TO RESCUE

Whatever beauty problem you may have, honey could probably solve it. It is not strange that honey has been used as one of the main skincare ingredients for centuries. I'm sure that you already know the benefits of honey but are you taking advantage of it. Because of the antibacterial properties that honey has, it can help you clear acne, get rid of the redness, prevent wrinkles, and make your skin soft, plump and bright. You can never go wrong if you use the organic one as it has many more properties. Honey can also be used to treat dry lips, split ends, etc.

The amazing thing about honey is that it can be used on its own or with the other ingredients as lemon, sugar, baking soda and more.  Most of the complementary ingredients you probably already have around your house. With honey, you can make face masks, pilings, and scrubs. One of my favorite pilings is the honey and sugar one. If you want to learn how to make it I have a post all about it. Be sure to check it out as it’s going to change your skincare routine for the better. Reach out for honey to make your skin soft and fresh.

PULL FOR GORGEOUS LASHES

This is a trick I’ve seen in one of the beauty YouTube videos a few years ago. Mascara is my favorite makeup product as I love when my eyes look awake. This is rather simple but you are definitely going to see a big difference. It will give so much more volume to your lashes. So what is this trick? Take your mascara, with the opposite hand softly pull the skin on the outer end of your eye so that your eye is pulled from your nose. Now apply your mascara as you usually would. It is so simple, right?

So what is so special about this? When you pull your skin so that your eye gets longer it separates your lashes and makes it easier for you to reach them while you are applying mascara. If you have naturally thicker lashes then I really recommend you to try this trick as it will help you give volume to even the smallest lashes. Just be sure that you don’t pull your skin too much and not to accidentally poke yourself in the eye.

TONER FACE MASK

Winter months have the tendency to dry out our faces. That is even more noticeable if you naturally have dry skin type. There are a lot of great products that will make your skin less dry. Some of them are face masks. The face mask is fun and beneficial but buying new ones all the time can be quite expensive. Something I’ve been doing instead is making my own face masks. This is a very easy and convenient way to provide hydration to my skin without spending too much money. To make your own face mask all you need are cotton pads and toner.

I’ve been using Dear, Klairs Supple Preparation Unscented Toner for a few years now and I still love it. It makes my skin soft and hydrated. So to make toner face mask all you need to do is to soak a cotton pad with toner and apply it on your face. I usually make around four of them, one for my forehead, one for each cheek and one for the chin. When you apply toner this way it gives your skin more time to absorb the product. Depending on how dry your skin is you can always add more toner on the cotton pad and place it on your face again.
