Lemon Drizzle Cake

Friday, February 7, 2014

Hello! Happy Friday everyone!
The weekend started out very well for me! The sun finally came up and the snow is slowly melting! You do not even know how I'm excited for spring and warmer days. I can not wait to save winter clothes, deep in the closet and pulled out a lighter.

Now that I've told you all that now we can move on to something even better than the spring, and it's Lemon Drizzle Cake! It is the easiest and tastiest cake ever

Zoella and Tanya Burr, my favorite YouTuber, a few weeks ago made a video about how to do this cake. I was skeptical at first because I'm not a fan of biscuit cake, and lemon in themYet when I saw how much they enjoyed it, I had to try it out. I'm glad I did it!
So let's get started!

You will need:

 3 Eggs
170g Caster Sugar
170g Self Raising Flour
170g Butter
teaspoon of Baking Powder
110g Icing Sugar
2 Lemons

Preparation:

♥ Mix together the eggs, caster sugar, self raising flour, butter baking powder and zest of 2 lemons. You can use as much as you like lemon zest, it all depends on the size of a lemon and about your taste.

♥ Put the blended mixture into the tin in which you will bake it.

♥ Place the pan in the oven and bake at 180 degrees for 30-45 minutes. It depends on the thickness of the container.

♥ The way you can check if the cake is baked is to gently poked it with a toothpick or knife. The cake is baked when you pull the knife out and there is no butter on it.

♥ While the cake is still warm poke it with a knife and pour it with drizzle! For drizzle you have to mix the juice of two lemons with icing sugar. This procedure you can do or skip it. It depends on how sour you want to be your cake. I have not used all of the mixture, I just spilled a little.

♥ And your cake is ready for tasting!

My family and I love to eat it! It is very juicy and tasty. You do not need much time to prepare, and the ingredients I believe you already have in your kitchen!

I hope you'll try it out and tell me your opinion!

;)
