Self-isolation is challenging as it is, but when you are spending 24/7 with your family or roommates, it can get even more interesting. It doesn't matter if you have an amazing relationship with the people you live with or not. We are all different and we all need our personal space but also a time when we want to hang out with others. Sometimes those two parts can clash with others and when you want to hang someone else might want to be by themselves. In that kind of situation, the tension can rise and with that, we can say or act rashly.  Living with four other family members, I decided to share with you my tips on surviving self-isolation with others. 



Self-isolation is challenging as it is, but when you are spending 24/7 with your family or roommates, it can get even more interesting. I don't want to jinx myself but I don't remember the last time I felt this inspired. I've been creating content that I feel very proud of and it is making me very happy. I used to struggle with consistent posting which those who follow me for a long time probably know. I'm not really good at focusing on multiple important things at the time. I'm a student so balancing uni and blog can sometimes get a little bit hectic. With the current situation and social distancing, I finally found the balance between the two. Here are some of the things that made me inspired to create new content and to be consistent.

Now more than ever it is easy to fall in the negative circle of thoughts. Spending so much time indoors in space that sometimes feels like it is getting smaller and smaller as the days pass, it is not so strange to start to feel nervous, anxious and sad. Social media can be such a great way to escape but it can also bring self-doubt and pity (when it seems like you are the only one not making dalgona coffee, banana bread and playing animal crossing). As normal as it is to feel sad, annoyed and anxious once in a while, wouldn't it just be better to feel happy, cheerful and hopeful once again?

There are two types of people, those who are "die-hard workout enthusiasts" and those who are "I workout because that's the only way to get a healthy body" type. It doesn't matter which description feels most relatable to you, you are both sentenced to actually getting up and working out. We live in a strange time and place. The world and the people in it need as much love as possible. The current situation might not be so challenging for some people, but some could find it difficult. Without or with issues we are facing nowadays, there will always be some of our loved ones that are struggling.

We need to have in mind that those people need our help and support. Sometimes it can be difficult to know what to do to help them. We might feel like we need to make big sacrifices or go out of our own way to make sure that those people are feeling better. Last week was the first week of social-distancing. It feels weird writing about it as it makes it feel strange. The start of it was a little bit challenging as this isn't the situation I believe most of us thought would end up in. I knew that the only way to make it a little bit easier to get through is to focus on petite joys. I didn't want to look at it from a negative standpoint. On the contrary, I focused on all the things I could do for myself and for others.  First and most important was to STAY AT HOME.

Did you get used to it being 2020 already? 

I must say that I'm sometimes still flabbergasted that it is 2020. The fact that it is quite satisfying to write 2020 makes it easier to get used to it. The new year is often associated with New year's resolutions. I've noticed that a lot of people have different opinions about resolutions and goal setting. 

You are either a massive fan of them or you can't stand them. Whichever opinion you have I'm sure that you have some goals in mind for this year even if you don't want the whole world to know about them. It is in human nature to look into the future and try to accomplish as much we can.

Do you have trouble concentrating?

A few months ago I noticed that my concentration was getting worse and worse. I just couldn’t focus long enough on just one thing without getting distracted. The biggest cause of my distraction was social media. 

Because of the constant scrolling and the ability to do a lot of different things at once, it was like my brain is constantly hopping from one thing to another. I guess it is because I got used to always start different tasks at once and my attention span was short.
